SEA LIFE LONDON AQUARIUM

Spectacular Major Launch!

April 2009 sees the opening of a world class aquatic experience for the UK as the London Aquarium is reinvented as SEA LIFE London Aquarium following a multi-million pound revamp.  Guests will be taken on an immersive journey along the Great Ocean Conveyor Belt meeting thousands of marine creatures from every part of the world in exciting themed settings.   There will be plenty of interaction along the way and some breathtaking features including a stunning glass tunnel walkway allowing guests to stroll beneath a tropical ocean PLUS a nerve testing finale for those daring enough to walk on the wild side.

Other stars of the show include green turtles, seahorses, octopus, zebra sharks and the ever popular clown fish. Guests will also encounter a Pacific shipwreck, secret coral caves, a dive school and closer to home; the fascinating story of the River Thames.  Meanwhile on the Good Ship SOS, Eco Pirates invite guests to join "Save Our Seas" - a major global marine conservation and breeding programme championed by SEA LIFE which has already successfully petitioned to outlaw shark finning in European waters and persuaded the European Parliament to increase protection for the nesting beaches of Mediterranean loggerhead sea turtles. The ship's discovery deck will have interactive displays and challenges designed to be a real ‘fun learning' experience.

Destined to become the jewel in the crown of SEA LIFE's 28 attractions in the UK and Europe, Sea Life London Aquarium promises a voyage across the world's oceans and seas in a highly immersive experience.  As well as a fun and interactive family experience the new attraction will provide the UK with a leading centre of excellence on marine management, conservation, preservation and education in the heart of the capital.
